These beautiful and haunting photos were salvaged from the Japan quake.

The Salvage Memory Project has recovered 750,000 lost photos and returned 20,000 to their owners already!

Finally developed my last roll of film, which had three shots from Sydney. The one of Lunar Park is my favourite, but unfortunately the scanner made it look a little muddier than the original, so I tweaked it in Photoshop. It’s much better in person, but it’s still pretty good to me.

“He seemed for a moment able to look right into her, know her in a way that was uncluttered by actually knowing her. He seemed to have no information or misinformation, only a kind of photography, factless but true.”

FREE PRINTS!!!!!!

Alright so heres the deal, I have hundreds of prints just sitting around. These are all from when I would get my film back from the different labs and I would ask for prints because I didn’t want to wait to get home and scan or put in a CD to see them. I’m hoping to give ALL of these away to as many Different people as possible. All I ask is that you REBLOG this post so I can get the word out with your help. I would really really REALLY (seriously…) appreciate it.

ALL prints will be SIGNED and have some sort of description or story on the back!!!!!!!

Heres the run down:

Step 1: MUST Reblog!

Step 2: Email me your name, address and a few of these guys :] :) :} (in the subject line put FREE PRINTS!) Also please include a link to your tumblr! to brianluman@mac.com

step 3: Receive 5 random prints (everything from b&w 35mm to color 120)

I have included some photos of random prints that I thought looked nice together as I walked around the massive grid.

Oh wow, an art installation of all the Facebook chats I’ve ever had with my best friend? HOW DID THEY KNOW?
PS: Snark aside, I love this.

I got my black and white film developed (the roll I took with me to Queenscliff Music Festival) and I got the prints today. I only botched about one two photos! SUCCESS. And I managed some shots I liked too, so overall I’m pretty pleased. The fifth one (the very middle photo) is my favourite.
