Kid Goth: Neil Gaiman's Fantasies →
Several months ago, Gaiman was in New York for a few days and gave a reading at the Housing Works bookstore, downtown. It was a joint appearance with Amanda Palmer, a musician from the punk-cabaret act the Dresden Dolls, who was Gaiman’s girlfriend at the time. (They are now engaged to be married. He proposed on New Year’s Day, drawing a ring on her finger with a Sharpie.) Sweetest thing ever....

It wouldn’t let me respond to your answer!
I’m exactly the same way. I didn’t go so far as to search Neil’s blog for hints about his previous marriage (yet!), but for some reason I think I assumed that she died? And then I saw mention of her in a blog or twitter update about his youngest daughter spending time with her for a holiday or something and got creeped out until I...

Question (finally!..well in a minute): I know that you are a Neil Gaiman fan but I am curious if you are also an Amanda Palmer fan? If you are not I'm interested in knowing your feelings about the relationship/engagement/whatever. Everyone I know either doesn't know who either of them are or...

yellowhat asked: If you want to have people ask you stuff, that's cool, but don't feel pressured to do it just because people you kinda look up to are doing it.

Am I suspicious of Formspring and this new “ask” feature because of the countless posts people I sort-of look up to have written ironically dissing it (while signing off with “ask me anything”, or whatever it is)? Probably. Maybe I’m scared no one will use this thing, which is such a stupid thing to be scared of! So here it is. I’ll just be here, getting back to...
